What is MyTradePack?
When starting our domestic gas and electrical business, there was no business help. Lots of help to borrow money (we didn’t want any), training (already done that), and support for any business type apart from trades. Marketing gurus offered to get thousands of visitors to our website but what would we do with them? We were a one man business. A few enquiries a week would have been great. A national directory ripped us off and managed to give us such great advice, Google black-listed our business for over a year.
We know what it’s like to have customers calling at 9.00pm on a Sunday wanting you to have a look at their blocked toilet. We know what it’s like to battle with trade organisations which don’t seem to have a clue what you do. We know what it’s like to get call from people trying to sell you a fleet of vans when the one you have is fine.
We are a husband and wife team with many years of experience working in domestic heating and electrical work as well as construction.
We’ve been there and now we’re here for you.

What We Do
Free Stuff
MyTradePack is an online resource for anyone working in trades for homeowners. Whether a gas engineer, carpenter, electrician or decorator, we are here to help. There are articles, reviews and links for all aspects of running your own business, either as a sole trader or a larger company.
The reason it is free, is because we recognise that many people out there work with very little budget to run their business. As hands on people, you like to do it yourself. MyTradePack saves you the time of searching for the best resources suited to trades.
Commission
Occasionally, we’ll provide links to products and services supplied by a third party. This will not affect the price you pay and we receive a commission if you buy. You can always go direct if you object to this. We will NEVER recommend a product based on its commission potential. It has to be good.
The not so free bit
Sometimes, you don’t want to do it yourself and need some help. We can provide services such as the training in our T.R.A.D.E.S. programme, web hosting options or 1-2-1 support and there is a charge for this. But we keep it flexible with a low cost. No lengthy, expensive contracts that fall short of promises made by pushy sales teams.

Delivery – tradespeople work on any number of projects at a time. Delivery is about project management.
Evaluation – knowing how well you are doing (or not) is key to staying in business.
Sustainable success – everyone can have a good month or year, but how do you maintain the momentum?
